Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pixel Plants ("the app"), a cozy plant-care game for iOS provided for your personal entertainment. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. They also serve as the Terms of Use (End User License Agreement) for the app and for the Pixel Plants Premium subscription sold inside it.

1. Use of the app

The app is provided for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You agree to use it fairly and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in line with Apple's App Store Terms of Service. The app and all of its content — including artwork, code, and design — are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or assets of the app except as permitted by law.

3. Premium subscription

The app is free to download and free to play: the Monstera and the complete care loop cost nothing. Pixel Plants Premium is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the additional plant species and the pot catalogue, and grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use that premium content for as long as your subscription is active.

Premium is offered in two billing periods — weekly and yearly — in a single subscription group. The current price of each period is always shown in the app before you confirm, and may vary by country and over time.

Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Apple grants one introductory offer per subscription group, so the trial is available once — regardless of which period you start with. If you have already used it, the app shows the renewal price instead.

Billing and renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings under Subscriptions — deleting the app does not cancel it.

Payments and refunds. All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple; we never receive or store your payment details. Refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple under its own policy, and your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. You can restore an active subscription on another device via the "Restore Purchases" option in the app.

If your subscription ends. A premium plant you are already growing keeps full care until the end of its natural life — losing Premium never harms a living plant. Premium species and pots simply lock again for new plants, and the free Monstera stays available.

4. Your data and progress

Game progress is stored only on your device. We do not back up or sync your data. Deleting the app or your device data, and in-game events such as a plant's permanent loss, cannot be undone or recovered by us. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

5. Disclaimer of warranty

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the app will be available, reliable, or free of errors, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We may modify or discontinue the app, or any of its features, at any time without notice.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at our discretion, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany.
